Sandalinas - Fly to the Sun

A banda Sandalinas, do guitarrista Jordi Sandalinas lança o seu segundo álbum "Fly to the Sun" produzido por Andy LaRocque, que também conta com Rick Altzi (vocalista -At Vance), Patrick Johanson (Bateria em estúdio - Yngwie Malmsteen), Alvaro Svanerö(Bateria - live), Mick Cervino (baixista no álbum - Yngwie Malmsteen), Mat Sain(baixo - live), Elias Holmid (teclado - Dragonland).
O álbum também conta com alguns convidados, como Derek Sherinian (ex-Dream Theater) na faixa "Season in the Sand", Chris Caffery (Savatage) e Andy LaRocque (King Diamond) em varios solos de guitarra. Vale destacar a capa feita por Derek Riggs que fez a maioria das capas do Iron Maiden.
Algumas pessoas definem o estilo deles como metal melódico, mas na minha opinião está longe de ser, pois há muitos elementos de hard rock, em especial no vocal e refrões. Falando em vocal, destaco a voz de Rick Altzi, talvez por sua presença, alguns momentos o álbum lembra o At Vance, claro, sem as influências neo-clássicas, e também Jorn Lande.
O álbum já inicia com a excelente "Fly to the Sun", e no decorrer do álbum a banda não deixa a qualidade cair, como na faixa "Never Seen Before", "As the Rain Falls" (grande refrão!) e também " The Wrong Side of Me" ou na lenta "Season in the Sand".
Eu recomendo essa banda a amantes de metal ou hard rock, você poderá encontrar elementos de ambos os estilos, peso, melodia e boas vocalizações.

The almbus stars some special guests, such as Derek Sherinian (former Dream Theater) in the track "Season in the Sand", Chris Caffery (Savatage) and Andy LaRocque (King Diamond) in several guitar solos. It's worthy to detach the cover by Derek Riggs, who made the most Iron Maiden covers.
Some people would define their style as melodic metal, in my opinion it's too far from that, cause there ara many hard rock elements, especially during the vocals and refrains.
Talking about vocal, Rick Altzi's voice is great, maybe for his presence, in some moments the album reminds me of At Vance, without the neo-classics influences of course, and also Jorn Lande.
The album opens with the excellent "Fly to the Sun", during the process the band doesn't let the quality falls, as in the track "Never Seen Before", "As the Rain Falls" (great refrain!) and also " The Wrong Side of Me" or the slow "Season in the Sand".
I recommend this band for metal/hard rock lovers, you'll be able to find both style elements, heaviness, melody and good vocalizations.
