Sarasin - The Last Word

English:

You probably know e Phil Naro (former Talas, 24K, Chain Reaction, Tango Down...), he's always singing is some band, anywhere, and in some unusual way, with the band Long Tom and the Dusty Danglers.
Sarasin hols 24 years of history, and it had "just" 27 members in its lifetime and nowadays counts on Phil Naro - vocals, Greg Boileau - Guitars, Jhonny Rogers - Guitars, Rob Grant - bass, Roger Banks - Drums.
This year the band releases your new album "The Last Word", and the time spent on the road helped a lot during the composition time for a hard rock, standard heaviness, good vocalizations.
The album opens with the killer "No Sensation", a great guitar work, by the way every member blasts in this track, with a faster movement, you can notice a very good production in this album, during this time experience helps a lot, even for independent release.
Your ear didn't have the time to get used to the first song and the band presents us "Waken @ Noon", excellent refrain, with a cool drum rhythm. The track "The Last Word (is Mine)", is another one with an overwheming guitar, and again with well structured refrain.
Then we have "Birth Forth a Sound", a little bit modern, slow, but a good one, unlike the next track "Jeanie´s Gone Crazy", very modern, with that refrain that sticks in your mind over and over, but this one is not .
The thing gets better with "Kiss of Death", one of the best, another blast again in their respective instruments, one of the best, if not the best track of the whole album.
To end this good album, we also have "In America", following the hard rock genre, 80s kinda style, very cool.
If you like the work of Phil Naro, you have the obligation to know Sarasin, because it's a pleasant surprise for the year 2008.
