Nos anos 80. os grandes nomes do hard rock, na maioria das vezes, vinham dos Estados Unidos ou Alemanha por exemplo, mas agora parece que o estilo está renascendo, e com isso aparecendo bons nomes vindos de outros lugares, um exemplo é o Shannon, essa banda da França, um país com tradição na música pesada, que antes muitas destas bandas cantavam em sua lingua natal,mas isso mudou há algum tempo, e podemos ver o nascimento de excelentes bandas de todos os estilo, no caso do Shannon, o melodic rock.
Trata-se do 3º lançamento da banda(contando com o EP Word of Desire), já posso dizer que "Angel in Disguise" é um bom exemplo de música tocada com garra, paixão e suor, são 13 faixas do mais puro melodic rock, e para mim já figura entre os destaques de 2008.
Antes de rolar o som, devo dizer que achei a capa bonita, lembrando o estilo de capas como "Spellbound" e "Babylon" do Ten. Deixando o som rolar, o que já salta aos ouvidos logo na primeira audição, é a qualidade da guitarra de Patrice Louis e o teclado de Thierry Dagnicourt, além de uma produção que deixou todos os instrumentos audiveis. Claro, tenho que comentar sobre o vocal de Olivier Valle(ex-Jannylee), um vocal com feeling que só inaltesse a qualidade apresentada neste álbum.
O hard rock começa com tudo na faixa"Do you Know?", nela você já verá o grande instrumental, vocalizações matadoras, refrão e backing vocals de emocionar até o mais frio dos criticos. Guitarra pesada, soando um pouco como o primeiro e último cd do Fair Warning, misturado com Gotthard e Shakra, este último na faixa "Hungry for Love".
Dificil não dar destaque a próxima " No More Lies", fantástico refrão melódico, impossível deixar de se empolgar com músicas que cativam e te prendem até o final. Se você achou exagero, ouça "Love in your Eyes" e "Long Gone" ouça o grande trabalho de guitarra e vozes nestas músicas.
Belos teclados aparecem em "Coming Back to You", nem preciso dizer que esse álbum é essencial a qualquer amante de melodic rock.

In the 80s great names of the hard rock genre most of the time used to come from USA or German ou Alemanha for example, but now it seems the genre is reviving again, and with that good names in the scene appearing from another countries, a good example of that is Shannon, this french band, their country has a tradition in heavy music, and many of these bands used to sing in their mother language, but this has changed a lon time ago, and we can witness some excellent bands of all genres, including the melodic rock, Shannon's case.
This is the third release of them (counting the EP Word of Desire), I can say that "Angel in Disguise" is a good example of music played with grasp, passion and swet, there are 13 track of the pure melodic rock, and to me it's the biggest must-have of 2008.
Before the sound plays let me say that I found the cover very pretty, reminding me of some Ten albums: "Spellbound" and "Babylon". Now playing, that jumps throuhg your ears since the first audition, it's Patrice Louis' guitar quality and Thierry Dagnicourt's keyboard, besides the production let all the instruments audibles. Of course, I have to comment about Olivier Valle (former Jannylee) vocals, it has a feeling that just ennobles the qualitiy presented in this album.
The hard rock begins with everything in the track "Do you Know?", you'll notice what to expec just to listen to this great intrumental piece, killer vocalizations, thrilling refrains and backing vocals that will balance the most coldhearted man. Heavy guitar sounding like the first and last Fair Warning albums, mixed with Gotthard and Shakra, this last one in the track "Hungry for Love".
It's hard no to talk about the next one " No More Lies", fantastic melodic refrain, and impossible not to overwhelm yourself with songs that captivate you and catch you till the end. If you think I'm exaggerating, listen to "Love in your Eyes" and "Long Gone" with a great guitar work and vocals in these ones. Pretty keyboards appears in "Coming Back to You", I don't have to say this labum is essencial to melodic rock lovers.
