A Suiça sempre teve alguns nomes famosos na cena musical, e parece crescer nos últimos tempos, como Krokus, Gotthard, China, Shakra, só para citar alguns mais famosos dentro do chamado hard rock/melodic rock, e também algumas bandas igualmente boas vindas do underground, tocando um hard rock ou um melodic rock, e também no heavy metal, dentre destas bandas, temos o Fair Haven.
Formado em 1998, a banda chega ao seu quarto álbum, intitulado "Ride". Produzido por Darren Grahn (Metallica, Motley Crue, Skid Row, Bon Jovi) e percebe-se uma grande melhoria na produção em relação aos álbums anteriores, como podemos ver na segunda coletânea que a banda lançou chamada "Not Even Close", que mostra músicas de seus álbums anteriores e lançada após esse álbum comentado agora.
É com grande satisfação que afirmo que trata-se de um grande álbum, hard rock de primeira, canções e guitarras que te pegam, inclusive em alguns momentos, há partes mais heavy metal incorporados em alguns partes.
A banda conta atualmente com Don Jamesayer(vocals, guitars, piano), Bernie Kuepfer(guitars), Andy Scherrer(drums), Matto Levenberger(bass), executam um excelente melodic rock, com passagens mais pesadas, como explicado anteriormente, os 10 anos de existência da banda foi ótimo para a sonoridade deste último álbum, mostrando que a banda manteve o seu estilo, mas mostrando uma evolução também.
O álbum inicia-se com "Life Changes, faixa muito boa, e já mostra a proposta da banda em tocar músicas cativantes, melódicas, foi uma boa escolha para o inicio do álbum.
O ritmo continua na próxima faixa "Into the Unknown", mostrando boa escolha na posição das faixas.
Temos em "Asking Forever" riffs muito interessantes, seguida da bela balada "Ride into the Sun". Depois de uma pequena faixa instrumental, temos mais uma grande canção em "Healer", uma das melhores do cd, o mesmo posso dizer da "Chaincrusher", mostrando que a banda também pode apresentar um certo peso muito bem vindo.
Outro grande momento pode ser encontrado na bela balada "No One's Home".
Posso dizer que indiscutivelmente é um álbum muito bom, que poderá fazer parte da sua coleção, e terá momentos muito agradáveis ao ouvi-lo.

Swiss has always had some famous names in the musical scene, and it seems to grow lately, as Krokus, Gotthard, China, Shakra, just to mention some of the so-called hard rock/melodic rock genre, and also some equally welcome bands from the underground, playing hard or melodic rock, and so heavy metal, among these bands we have Fair Haven.
Formed in 1998, the band now is its fourth album, entitled "Ride". Produced by Darren Grahn (Metallica, Motley Crue, Skid Row, Bon Jovi) and you can notice a great improvement in the production in relation to the previous albums, as we can see in the second compilation called "Not Even Close", that shows songs from those previous albums and it’s been released after this one commented here now.
It’s with great satisfaction that I affirm it’s a great album, prime hard rock, sticky songs and guitars, inclusive in some moments, there are some more heavy metal parts incorporated.
Nowadays the members are Don Jamesayer (vocals, guitars, piano), Bernie Kuepfer (guitars), Andy Scherrer (drums), Matto Levenberger (bass), they execute and excellent melodic rock, with heavier passages, 10 years on the road was a great influence to the sonority of this last album, because the band kept their style and showed an evolution too.
The album opens with "Life Changes”, a good track that already shows the band purpose in playing captivating songs, it was a good choice to open the album.
The beat goes on on the next track "Into the Unknown", showing again a good choice in the playlist.
In "Asking Forever" there are some interesting riffs, followed by the ballad "Ride into the Sun". After a short instrumental piece, we have another great song and one of the best, "Healer", although I could say the same about "Chaincrusher", presenting a kind of heavy moment so much welcome.
Another great moment can be found in the beautiful ballad "No One's Home".
Unquestionably the album is very good, it will be a part of your collection, and you’ll have pleasant moment listenining to it.
